Using only freshly milled grains, our own starter culture, fresh yeast and well water we bake our natural breads and pastries in a small wood fired oven – true to the artisan European bread baking traditions


At Bee Sting Bakery we are madly in love with bread – especially hearty German style Whole Wheat, Spelt and Rye breads.

We bake in the tradition of true european artisan bakers, bringing you wholesome loafs without any additives or artificial flavors.

Whenever possible, we use freshly ground whole wheat, rye and spelt flour and bake the bread in a wood-fired oven in the farmhouse kitchen. Our breads are rich and moist, crusty, flavorful and full of whole-grain goodness.

This is real food – and you can taste it.

Thankful for living in Vermont, where local, fresh and organic ingredients are bountiful, we are committed to using only natural organic ingredients, staying local whenever possible.

We also bake different specialty breads and pastries throughout the season, like Stollen, a holiday bread from the Saxony area, made with dried fruits and yeast, and of course our signature cake, the German Bienenstich (Bee Sting Cake) – Vermont style.

Our products are available on the Westford Farmers’ Market in Vermont from mid June – mid October, and at the Westford Farmers’ Market Winter Market in December and January.
